I call this the "Idea-Machine Machine."
It's based on James Altucher's concept of "Becoming an Idea Machine." Read his writing on it for more depth and detail.
The goal is to challenge ourselves to think of ten new ideas per day. Every day. Even if most of them aren't great (and most won't be) — some will be. And along the way, we'll build stronger creative thinking muscles, which will make it easier to develop great ideas and solutions quickly when we really need them.
Of course, sometimes it's hard to simply "think of an idea." It helps to have something to focus on. A prompt. That's where this little tool comes in.
Click the button for a prompt. Come up with an idea — or multiple ideas — before moving on. Don't wait for "the perfect prompt" to come along. Challenge yourself to think of something, anything, for the one in front of you.
And by all means, make up your own prompts for yourself, based on your own current challenges, goals, projects, or things-of-interest. Those will be even better.
